Located in the Madeira neighborhood of Cincinnati, we fell in love with this home, and considered turning it into our family home by adding a second story when we purchased in Dec '21. When those plans fell through we turned it into a mod style home and still managed to double its finished square footage by finishing the basement with an office and full bath. But the cautionary tale is to make a plan and stick to it, as a changing market, the extent of necessary work to feel good about selling it, and high holding costs reduced these profits significantly.
